British Airways American Express
If
you're a frequent flyer with British Airways you should join their
Executive Club offering you the chance to earn miles on BA and partner
flights. American Express offers a range of cards to increase the miles
earning potential for British Airways customers. The most popular BA card is the blue BA Credit Card, this card has no annual fee, gives you a 1,000 BA miles sign up bonus and gives you one mile for every pound spent on the card. A special introductory offer means that you will earn double miles for the first three months. It's an effective way to top up your miles balance with very little effort, just apply for the card and use it for all your everyday spending.

The black BA Premium Plus Credit Card is aimed at the high spending frequent flyer and also offers additional travel related benefits. The annual fee is £120, this gives up a welcome bonus of 6,000 BA miles and 1.5 miles for every pound spent on the card. When booking BA flights you get double miles on this card (3 miles per pound spent) in addition to the miles you get for the distance travelled. The card also offers a free companion reward ticket once £10,000 has been spent on the card. Just like the blue card you will receive double miles for the first three months on all purchases.

Which card is right for me?
Choose one of these cards if you're a frequent BA flyer and are either a member of, or would like to join, their Executive Club frequent flyer programme. The blue credit card does not have an annual fee and this is the card I'd recommend if your annual card spend is below £10,000. If you expect to spend over £10,000 a year it is worth paying the £120 for the annual fee of the Premium Plus card, this card will let you earn miles at a quicker rate and will also give you a free companion reward ticket once you have spent £10,000. If you're unsure how much your annual spend will be then why not apply for the free blue credit card first and then upgrade to the Premium Plus card if you find out it will be worthwhile.Need more miles?
Use you imagination. If you want to earn more miles start to think where you can use the card, many places where you may pay cash now will take cards and all the smaller purchases can add up over time. You can also get a free supplimentary card for a partner, combining card spend is a great way to earn extra miles. Also if a friend is making a large purchase and they don't collect miles why not offer to put it on your own card? All these items can add up in a short time.Information on this site is correct at the time of going to press.
